The Ocean Let Go Meditation

  A simple practice to end the day and get ready for a deep restful sleep. 

 

Or use it to reset your day. 

Enjoy this meditation of under 15 minutes to let go of the day with the live recorded sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the cliff rocks beneath. 

This meditation was channeled live with the sounds of the Tasman Sea at Windgrove in Tasmania, Australia. 

 

Ocean Proximity is Healing

Be with the sounds of the waves against the cliff rocks in the recording. Let them be your healer. 

 According to research in Health Place those closer to coastal areas report better wellbeing in the UK. It is even better if you can have a sea view and can enjoy those blue hues across the rolling seascape. It encourages the parasympathetic nervous system to activate and calm moves through the body.  

 But what about that sound of the continuous rolling ocean waves? Exeter University’s research about how the ocean impacts our wellbeing has linked the sound to an increased sense of calm and de-stress. In 2018 they introduced a digital sound of a seashell to help medical professionals improve their self-care. 

 

Specifics of this Practice

 The practice was channeled live. It invited a process to let go and welcome change. 

 

Bring to mind the intention of something that you would like to release that no longer serves you. 

Make space in your experience.

 

Allow the sounds to wash away what you intend to release.

Welcome the winds of change as you let it release. Let them wrap around you to both lift away and bring forth what you desire. 

 

Feel the rock beneath you grounding you as you make the change. 

Let the sounds of the waves wash and cleanse away. 

Acknowledge and be with your resistance. It is ok to be with that resistance. 

 

Hear the bird song delighting in your presence. Your heart beats with their whistles. 

Return to your thoughts amidst the sound and movement, feel yourself still centred and strong. 

Allow nature to serve the answer for how to release with love. 

Welcome more love in. 

 

There is little more to say to this practice. 

 

Nature heals all.
