The 4 Aspects to Being a Leader in Spiritual Business
Apr 11, 2022Whatever you call yourself - a spiritual business owner or wellness entrepreneur - you are a leader of your clients. Here are four keys to showing up as your best self to lead your clients.
(1) Clarity of Vision
Have a clear vision of who your clients are, what their struggles are, and what you do to support them to a solution.
Explain this to them so they know and can prepare for the journey with you.
Internally acknowledge your own triggers (if any arise) and deal with them after your client has gone.
Show up fully as who you are for them - if you are not qualified to support them offer referrals or share your limitation.
Be fully present when with your clients so that you can hold the space for them.
(2) Deep Listening
Listen to the word choice of your client - what energy or emotion is behind it?
Notice the tone, emphasis and frequency of their voice as they speak - this is a reflection of their nervous system state.
Observe the pauses, spaces and gaps in their words and use of their body in the room.
If you are a body worker, use your empathy skills to feel into what is happening for them.
Be truthful and offer up interpretations compassionately for them to agree or not to.
(3) Simplicity
Keep it simple for your client. Make the journey clear and easy for them to follow. If you are intuitive and flowing, then offer an idea of how this works.
Remember to give them simple actions to shift their state.
Keep your path for them simple so that they do not get lost. This includes in your marketing and sales process, otherwise they will get off the journey with you.
(4) Full Responsibility
Service is Divine action. Your connection, communications and offerings are all spiritual action that is what you are called to share. So take action and ensure accountability when it is time to do it. Get yourself support to be accountable to your people fully.
Imperfection is a part of all our growth, so if you make a mistake learn and grow. Do not hide for fear of criticism or error. We learn in relationship so make sure you show up to learn. Be compassionate with yourself for your errors, and show compassion to others who judge your service.
There are no excuses. If something isn't working for you, get creative to find a solution or take a new route to serve.
Do not rush. Ensure proper rest and care so you practice what you preach. All happens in divine timing but when you are being called to act, show up. We get out of our own way when we show up for others.
Own it. Take action.
